I’m on Bloglovin. If you haven’t checked out this site, it’s a great way to see all the updates from all the blogs you’re following at once!
In other news, we brought home some brand new members of our household.
No! Not babies or pets. Furniture.
We ran across this baby at Costco. It stopped me in my tracks and it was the last one. Meant to be. Much more sophisticated than the dorm room $20 lamp that used to be in this spot. You can see the new lamp and the old one in the background.
Every wonder about the title of the blog? I do actually sew sometimes, with my grandmother’s old singer. I’ve been looking for a vintage sewing machine table to go with it. We dropped of a donation at the Durham Rescue Mission and on a whim looked around.
And Thomas found it!
An old sewing table with flip-out leaves and a hole for the sewing machine to sit flush with the top. And the best part is…it was $20…and 25% off!! Amazing. You’ll be seeing more pics of this table as I refinish it and get it up in the craft room.
As we were walking out we noticed this pretty rocker. $10? Sold. It’s in beautiful shape, more of a glider than a rocker.
After some new cushions this glider is destined for the craft room as well.
Does anyone have experience refinishing and retrofitting a vintage sewing table? I could use some advice before starting this one!
